The Federal Reserve published six items on September 14, including a speech by Governor Waller titled "Monetary Policy at a Crossroads," the FOMC statement, and a rule reducing regulatory burden for community banks.

The Fed also released a speech by Governor Barr on whether artificial intelligence will broadly raise living standards or drive income and wealth inequality, and a speech by Governor Bowman on "Responsible Innovation and Financial Inclusion."

The Board issued enforcement actions with a former employee of Regions Bank and with the former chief lending officer of Heritage State Bank. It also published the minutes of the Board's discount rate meetings on July 20 and July 29, 2026.

Separately, the Colorado Springs City Council approved a rezone on Buckingham Drive with a condition prohibiting data centers, voting 7-0-1. The Denver City Council adopted Resolution 26-1158 approving a performance loan contract with Zion Senior and Community Resource Center for $695,000.
