Víctor Parés, president of the Government Committee of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives, accepted the request of Héctor Ferrer Santiago, spokesperson for the Popular Democratic Party (PPD), on Sept. 8 for Josué Colón Ortiz to waive the attorney-client privilege related to the temporary power generation contract with Power Expectations.

The read here is that the acceptance moves the legislative inquiry into the contract one step forward, though the facts do not say what the waiver would cover or whether Colón Ortiz has agreed.

Separately, the Denver City Council on an unspecified date adopted four resolutions approving or amending contracts. Resolution 26-1156 approved a $750,000 contract with Wilderness Construction Co. Resolution 26-1157 approved a $750,000 contract with Halcyon Construction, Inc. Resolution 26-1158 approved a $695,000 performance loan contract with Zion Senior and Community Resource Center. Resolution 26-1169 amended a contract with Ferkam Inc. to add $1.5M, bringing the total to $23M.
