The Corporation for National and Community Service obligated $15.7 million to Reading & Math, Inc. under award 25NDEMN001 on Sept. 4, a project grant for the 2025-26 AmeriCorps national direct program, federal awards data shows. Outlays to date are $46,066.

The same day, the agency awarded $30.8 million to the OneStar National Service Commission, Inc. under award 25AFGTX001, a formula grant for the 2025-26 AmeriCorps formula program. Outlays to date are $141,994.

The California Governor's Office of Service & Community Engagement received two formula grants on Sept. 4. Award 24AFICA002 carried $56.6 million for a grant transfer agreement with the California Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation, with $17 million in outlays to date. Award 24FXICA002 carried $5.23 million for the same purpose, with $1.24 million in outlays to date.

Baltimore Corps, Inc. received $5.33 million under award 22NDBMD003, a project grant for the 2022-23 Public Health AmeriCorps program, with outlays matching the full award amount.

The Ohio Association of Foodbanks received $12.5 million under award 15VSNOH008, a project grant for AmeriCorps VISTA projects, with $4.89 million in outlays to date.

A resolution expressing support for designating the week beginning Sept. 6 as "Celebrate Community Week" was referred to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Sept. 4.
